Health Tests

You have the option of selecting a pre-test consult while ordering your test. If you would like to take advantage of this service, you will need to answer a few questions on an intake form and schedule your session. The physician will review your information and give you a call. Services provided by PWNHealth are subject to its terms and conditions and privacy policies. No appointment is required for my•labolgy testing. Simply find a BioReference Patient Service Center that is closest to you and walk in any time during normal hours of operation. To find a testing center near you and to check hours for each location, use this locator.

Please note that, depending on the location, test centers may be busy. You can call ahead to check availability or schedule an appointment to avoid potential wait times.

my•labology results are easy to understand and include external resources to help you take a deeper dive into your health. You will receive a lab PDF, as well as a patient-friendly results PDF. The patient-friendly results PDF will include information about the test as well as your results and next steps you should take. Included in this service is the opportunity to speak with a PWNHealth physician, free of charge. This is a free 5-20 minute session in which a physician can answer questions you may have about your results and determine next steps in care. All my•labology testing is available throughout the United States.

No, laboratory tests must be performed on the person whose name is on the order. When you come to a BioReference Patient Service Center, you will be asked for your ID so verification that you are the person on the order can be completed.

No, my•labology is only available for those 18 years of age or older.

Each test comes with its own set of pre-test instructions.

For some tests (such as the Basic Health test), you should not eat or drink anything (except water) for 9-12 hours before having your blood drawn. This is known as fasting. Continue taking your prescription medications. If you normally take your medication with food, you should ask your doctor before fasting.

For other tests (such as the Sexual Health test), you will need to provide a urine sample. You should not urinate at least 1 hour before specimen collection.

Check your order confirmation page to see if there’s anything you need to do before your test. Additional instructions will be provided to you at the patient service center.

Some test results may be affected by the foods you eat. Fasting helps provide you with the most reliable results for those tests that require it.

When you arrive to the patient service center, check in with the employee at the front desk. Let them know you are a my•labology customer and show them your confirmation email. Please be prepared to present a valid photo ID.

Once the test is completed, and you will receive your results in your secure online my•labology account.

The PWNHealth clinical team will release all negative/normal results to your account once they become available. If your results are positive/abnormal, PWNHealth’s Care Coordination Team may attempt to contact you by phone before results are released to your account. If you are unable to be reached, PWNHealth will send you a postal letter letting you know that your results are ready to view.

As a part of this service, you will have an opportunity to speak with a physician, who can answer any questions you may have about your results and help determine next steps in care. The session will either be an education session or a telemedicine consult with a PWNHealth physician. The physician may be able to provide treatment for certain STDs.

You should expect most results approximately 2-3 days after samples are collected. If you have provided a sample at the test center and have not received your results within 10 days after providing the sample, please contact PWNHealth’s customer support at +1(805) 742-4254.

We are unable to bill your insurance – including Medicare and Medicaid – for my•labology testing purchased through our service. The services are paid for by you and are not intended to be reimbursed by any health plan. Payment is due at the time of test selection.

You may be able to submit the expense of my•labology testing to your health savings account (HSA), flexible spending account (FSA), health reimbursement account (HRA), or similar account for reimbursement. Please check with your health account administrator or insurance company to see if my•labology testing is eligible for reimbursement under your plan.

Yes, we accept all four major credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, Discover, and American Express). We are also able to accept payment via PayPal, Apple Pay, and Google Pay. Payment is due at the time of test selection.

Charges on your statement will appear as “mylabology-BioRefLabs”. After services are complete, we do not store your personal or financial information.

Yes. We use Transport Security Layer (TSL) to encrypt your credit card number, name, and address information so only mylabology.com is able to decode your information.

You may cancel your order any time before visiting a testing center. Please view our refund policy for further information. Please contact us at +1(805) 742-4254 to cancel your order.

If you have not yet provided your sample at a test center and you have placed your order within the last 30 days, you can call PWNHealth's customer support to request a cancellation and refund. If you cancel within 24 hours of ordering a panel, you will receive a full refund equal to the original purchase price. If you cancel after 24 hours, a fee will be subtracted from your refund to cover physician and processing fees.

Unfortunately, we cannot process a refund for your order if you've already provided a sample at a test center.

PWNHealth is an independent physician network that provides physician services to you in connection with BioReference Labs. PWNHealth services include clinical oversight of lab testing, including physician evaluation of test requests, ordering tests (if appropriate), and providing individuals with the education and oversight necessary to undergo clinically-sound testing. The results of testing are confidentially evaluated by PWNHealth. These services are independent from the lab testing centers and from BioReference Labs.
